About you
You have a sharp eye for design, a strong sense of timing, and a real instinct for content that doesn’t just look good on social, but actually works. As a Social Art Director / Social Designer, you develop visual ideas that live on the platform, from always-on content to campaigns, from slides to short snippets, from static formats to motion. You bring in creative ideas, spot trends before they’re already over, and you know how to combine design, platform logic, and concept thinking into social content that actually matters.
Your mission
- You will translate brand and communication strategies into platform-specific content (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
- You will develop format mechanics, storylines, and creative approaches for social media
- You will develop visual and conceptual social media content (always-on, campaigns, formats)
- You’ll design formats, storylines, and creative mechanics for social media
- You’ll design and implement static and moving-image assets (e.g., Reels, carousels, Stories, thumbnails)
- You’ll handle the visual execution, including layout, typography, image editing, motion, and simple animations
- You’ll work closely with the Social, Creative, and Strategy teams, from concept to execution
- You’ll create mood boards, storyboards, and format templates
- You’ll continuously scout for trends (social trends, creator aesthetics, cultural moments)
- You’ll develop culturally relevant, platform-specific content
Your profile
- You have about 2-3 years of experience in design, art direction, or digital creation (ideally in an agency, or social media setting)
- You have a strong sense of design, typography, visual language, and visual trends on social media
- You understand platform dynamics, digital formats, and current developments in social culture
- You approach ideas not only visually, but also conceptually and with a “social-first” mindset
- You have experience designing and implementing social content and digital assets
- You are proficient in using common tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar programs
- Ideally, you have experience with motion design, editing, or video content
- You work independently, are a team player, and have a good sense of pace, quality, and detail
- You live in Berlin
- You have very good German skills as well as good English skills
